Training of Trainers (ToT) Course for AI Application Consultants for Businesses

Different from regular technical AI training programs, this course focuses on AI application to help businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, exploit the full potential of AI, focusing on the human factor to improve productivity, quality and make faster and more accurate decisions.

The program starts with the TOT (Training of Trainers) course for 20 consultants in 4 days in Hanoi, providing general knowledge and specific solutions about AI. The 10 best consultants from the TOT course will be selected to continue the practical consulting implementation phase at 05 model enterprises. Here, the consultants will directly advise, deploy and support the application of AI in business operations, from the stage of assessing needs to implementing solutions and measuring effectiveness.

The training course was implemented by the Research Institute for Organization and Digital Economy (RIDE) within the framework of the Productivity Ecosystem for Decent Work (PE4DW) project of the International Labour Organization (ILO) funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Norwegian Organization for Development Cooperation (NORAD).

Training content

(From June 2nd, 2025 to June 5th, 2025)

The training course consists of 4 days (8 sessions) from date, focusing on equipping participants with knowledge and skills to consult and deploy AI applications for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Each session will include activities such as presentations, group discussions, practical exercises, case studies and quick assessments to ensure participants master the knowledge and can apply it in practice.

    • Morning: Improve customer experience and marketing strategy.

Content of consulting practice at the enterprise

(From June 2025 to October 2025)

A team of 10 consultants will support 05 businesses (2 consultants in charge of each business) to pilot the implementation of AI tools directly into their operations. This process aims to promote a deep understanding of how AI can improve productivity, streamline workflows, support decision making and bring practical benefits in terms of sustainable employment for employees in businesses.​

  • Step 1: Training on AI applications in the enterprise environment
    • Provide in-depth training on AI applications for each selected business.
  • Step 2: Assess needs and consult on AI applications
    • Conduct an assessment of each business's specific needs.
    • Advise on the most suitable AI applications to address those needs.
  • Step 3: Connect with solution providers and deploy AI applications
    • Helping businesses connect with the right AI solution providers.
    • Guidance and support during AI application deployment.
  • Step 4: Launch and support the use of AI applications
    • Support businesses to launch AI applications.
    • Provide ongoing support during initial use to ensure effective application.
  • Step 5: Evaluate the effectiveness of AI applications
    • Conduct performance evaluation of deployed AI applications.
    • Collect data and analyze the impact of AI on business operations.
  • Step 6: Review implementation, draw lessons and make recommendations
    • Consider the entire AI application deployment process.
    • Draw lessons learned.
    • Make recommendations to improve future AI implementations.

Dr. Tran Nguyen Cac

An expert with many years of experience in the field of research and development of high-tech products, especially in areas such as AI and digital transformation. He has many years of experience in leadership, management, training, and business management consulting. Dr. Cac has presided over the construction of a product line that achieved a revenue of 50 million Euros after 5 years in the European and North American markets. Currently, he is the president RIDE.

Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoai

Dr. Hoai is a leading expert in AI and data analysis with nearly 30 years of experience in fields such as evolutionary computation, machine learning, and genetic programming. He has made many important contributions to AI research through hundreds of scientific papers. Dr. Hoai has applied AI and data-driven techniques to many industries. He is also an educator and AI consultant for many large companies and government agencies in Vietnam.

Nguyen Ngoc Que

Nguyen Ngoc Que is the General Director of Edmicro Education Company Limited, a pioneer in applying AI in the education sector. He leads Edmicro to develop breakthrough solutions, typically using LLM models to support lesson design and assignment creation. Applying AI for many years in his products shows his vision in exploiting AI to innovate teaching and learning methods, bringing practical results to businesses and learners.

Tran Thai Giang

Tran Thai Giang is the Director of VDX Company, an experienced expert in the field of consulting and implementing digital transformation. He has in-depth knowledge of technology solutions such as DXP, CRM, ERP and DWH, helping businesses optimize processes and improve performance. In more than 10 years of operation, he has successfully led 36 projects for more than 100 businesses in many different fields, including services, manufacturing and trade, affirming his capacity and reputation in the industry.

Dr. Nguyễn Thế Hoàng Anh

Dr. Nguyen The Hoang Anh is the Deputy Head of the Information Technology Department at the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST), Ministry of Science and Technology. He is a leading expert in the field of artificial intelligence, with over 15 years of experience in research and application of AI, machine learning, and brain-machine interfaces. Dr. Hoang Anh has taught in the United States and is currently an adjunct lecturer at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, while also serving as the principal investigator for several large-scale AI projects funded by South Korea, the World Bank, and international organizations. He is also the owner of numerous patents and copyrighted software, and is a regular guest at scientific forums both domestically and internationally.

Dr. Bùi Ngọc Dũng

Dr. Bùi Ngọc Dũng is a business analysis expert with over 20 years of experience in the field of information technology and software engineering. He has conducted research at prestigious international universities such as TU Wien (Austria), Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), and earned his Ph.D. in South Korea. Currently, he teaches and manages the Samsung Laboratory at the University of Transport and Communications, while also serving as an expert at Digital Fidelity Vietnam. In addition, he is behind a series of projects applying AI, blockchain, and deep learning to trace the origins of agricultural products, facial recognition, traffic classification, and monitoring the elderly – practical solutions serving digital transformation in Vietnam.

  

Ngo Minh Tuan

Mr. Ngo Minh Tuan has over 15 years of experience in the fields of measurement, inspection – testing, automation, machine vision, and industrial robotics. He graduated with a Master's degree in Industrial Automation from Hanoi University of Science and Technology and is currently responsible for developing the Machine Vision & Robotics sector at Vision AI Tech – the exclusive partner of Zebra Technologies in Vietnam and several Southeast Asian countries. With extensive knowledge and practical implementation experience in FDI factories, Mr. Tuan provides practical insights into the application of machine vision in automated inspection, particularly in optical character recognition (OCR) solutions and optimizing industrial processes using AI.
